Identifying What Is Missing in Your Diet for Better Health
It’s a question many Americans ask themselves, ‘what am I lacking in my diet,’ as they work toward improving their health and well being. Learning what I lack in my diet allows you to fill the voids and create a healthier self. There are several things of which we can be deficient; common ones include vitamins D and B12, iron and omega-3 fatty acids. So, if you find yourself asking, ‘what am I deficient in within my diet,’ it best to assess the food you are consuming. Adding more leafy green vegetables, lean proteins and fortified foods are good ways to fill those gaps. Just remember, by finding out what I am not getting in my diet, you can adjust your meals accordingly! Asking my doctor or nutritionist will help me figure out what I am lacking. In the end, if you’re eating mindfully food-wise—you’re not sacrificing essential nutrients that are necessary for energy, immunity and optimal health. So, stay alert on what is lacking in my food intake for a balanced and healthy long-term diet.
